Fulham are maintaining contact with Brazilian side Fluminense over a deal for midfielder Andre.
The 22-year-old was lined up by Fulham in December as they anticipated an offer from Bayern Munich for Joao Palhinha.
The Portugual international flew to Bavaria ahead of the summer transfer deadline in anticipation of a deal being struck between the two clubs, but had to return to west London after Fulham were unable to secure a replacement and negotiations collapsed.
But Marco Silva is keen to bolster his reinforcements early, and the club is keen to ramp up their pursuit of the Brazilian midfielder.
Fulham previously earmarked Andre for a move in November ahead of potentially losing Palhinha.

The 22-year-old was the subject of fervent interest from Premier League rivals Liverpool last summer, but Fluminense was unwilling to let a lynchpin player go as they continued to challenge for titles.
After winning a historic Copa Libertadores in November, the Brazilian club may find themselves more amenable to offers.
But Fulham may yet prioritise bringing in a striker during the window if Andre’s price tag is considered out of reach for the clubs, with the Cottagers among those keeping tabs on Chelsea academy graduate Armando Broja.
Mail Sport reported on Thursday that Fulham had been long-range admirers of their west London rivals’ attacker, and Chelsea is thought to be open to offers for the player in the region of £50million.

The 22-year-old has largely been used as a substitute behind first-choice forward Nicolas Jackson, following his return to fitness in September after recovering from a cruciate ligament injury.
Before his injury last season, the Albania international had previously impressed during a season-long loan stint at Southampton, where he netted nine goals in 38 appearances for the Saints.
