A University of Central Florida sorority has been suspended after its members were accused of hazing, underage drinking and providing false information to law enforcement.
The university placed Alpha Xi Delta on an interim suspension via a letter that doesn’t detail the allegations.
Officials say the allegations took place at an off-campus bar during the fall.

The Orlando Sentinel reports that pledges were forced to ‘chug’ mimosas, or a mixture of champagne and orange juice, at a Mexican restaurant called Señor Frogs.
Local news outlets reported Tuesday that the suspension prohibits the sorority from participating in any on- or off-campus fundraisers, socials, mixers, intramural competitions or other campus activities.
The letter indicates felony charges could be filed. The sorority’s national office in Indianapolis did not immediately return an email seeking comment.
The sorority’s National Executive Director, Elysia Gallivan, said in the statement: ‘Alpha Xi Delta does not tolerate hazing and unlawful behavior, and we are fully committed to working in conjunction with the University of Central Florida and law enforcement to provide any information in regards to this ongoing investigation.’
Earlier this year, Lambda Theta Phi Latin Fraternity was also suspended at the 60,000-student school in Orlando, Florida.
The fraternity was accused of hazing.
And two men in attendance at a Alpha Tau Omega party this past summer were accused of raping a woman.
The fraternity was suspended for a couple of weeks.
Earlier this month, Florida State University suspended all Greek life after a fraternity pledge died.
