New Zealand fans of the Foo Fighters were treated to quite the sight on Saturday night when a huge Hollywood star crashed the stage to rock out with the band.
None other than movie star Jack Black stole the show held in Auckland at the Mt Smart Stadium when he hit the stage dressed in a bizarre tie-dye ensemble.
The Super Mario Bros star, 54, wasted no time pulling up his shirt to flaunt his figure and shake his hips to the American rock band’s greatest hits.
With a fiery phoenix on the front of his black shirt and flames embellishing his shorts, the Emmy award-winning actor looked unrecognisable from his School of Rock heyday.
Sporting a big bushy grey beard and long dark locks, Jack was all smiles as he rocked alongside the Foo Fighters again, as he once did with his band Tenacious D.

In clips shared to several TikTok accounts over the weekend, the musician could be seen rolling about the stage before he belted out a cover of the AC/DC hit Big Balls.
Jack’s fun night didn’t end there, taking a break from filming the new Minecraft movie, he was later spotted at a Japanese restaurant called Ebisu.
Hanging out with Foo Fighters lead singer Dave Grohl, 55, the pair posed for a photo with one of the staff members, which was posted to the restaurant’s Instagram.

‘What a night at Ebisu! A couple of legends dining with us, Jack Black & Dave Grohl,’ the caption read.
It comes after Jack signed on for the 2025 film Minecraft which has recently started shooting in New Zealand, reported Variety earlier this month.
Jack is joining Jason Momoa, who was cast in the Warner Bros movie almost a year ago, and Emma Myers and Danielle Brooks who have supporting roles.

Jared Hess of Napoleon Dynamite fame will direct the movie, which spent nearly a decade in development.
He previously worked with Jack on the 2006 film Nacho Libre.
Few details have been released about the plot, but it’s understood the movie is a live-action adaptation of the popular video game.
It’s scheduled to open in movie theaters on April 4, 2025.
