Chilling video shows Hamas’s youngest hostage Kfir Bibas and his mother being led through Gaza streets on October 7 – as family holds out hope they are still alive

The IDF has released chilling new footage that it says shows Hamas terrorists took terrified mother Shiri Bibas and her two young children, including baby Kfir, through the streets of Khan Younis after kidnapping them on October 7.

The Bibas family were taken from their home in Kibbutz Nir Oz on October 7 when terrorists ambushed their community and other regions in the south, slaughtering at least 1,200 people and abducting 240.

Father Yarden Bibas, 34, was separated from his wife Shiri, 32, and his two young sons, Ariel, 4, and Kfir, who turned one in the tunnels underneath Gaza and is the youngest hostage in captivity.

Since October 7, their family have heard little about their wellbeing, until today when the IDF released footage from inside the Gaza Strip that shows Hamas terrorists taking them to a home in the east of Khan Younis.

Grainy footage, released by the IDF with permission of the family and shared with MailOnline, shows a group the IDF identifies as Hamas members taking a woman out of a parked white car as she holds a young child or baby.

Another shot shows Hamas terrorists directing the woman, who the IDF says is Shiri, toward a series of buildings and throwing a blanket or a shawl over her head.

While only one child could be seen in the video, IDF spokesperson Daniel Hagari said that Israel believes Kfir was attached to his mother’s body in a baby carrier.

MailOnline was unable to verify this claim.

Hagari added that the army is ‘very concerned’ about the family’s wellbeing. He said the army found the videos in security cameras seized during its offensive in Khan Younis.

In a statement, the extended Bibas family said the videos ‘tear our hearts out.’ They made a desperate plea for negotiations to release all of the hostages. In January, the family and hundreds of activists marked Kfir’s first birthday in what his family called ‘the saddest birthday party in the world.’

The current fate of the Bibas family is currently unknown. Hamas has previously claimed that Shiri, Kfir and Ariel died in Israeli missile strikes hours before the first temporary ceasefire between the IDF and Hamas was announced.

None of them have been heard from since Yarden was made to take part in a twisted propaganda video begging Benjamin Netanyahu to stop firing missiles at the Gaza Strip.

He said in the video, published in November, that Israel’s missiles had killed the rest of his family.

Yarden was heard saying: ‘Bibi (Netanyahu) your airstrike took away my beloved family, now do what you can to bring them home so they can be buried at home.

‘I’m begging you, bring me, my wife and my children back home.  Please, I’m begging.’

IDF spokesperson Daniel Hagari said in response to the video at the time: ‘Hamas’ claims about the Bibas family are still unverified, the published documentation is psychological terrorism.’

A cousin of the Yarden family previously told MailOnline that he was still holding out hope for their safe return.

Tomer Keshet said that Israeli officials never confirmed with him that they were killed at all.

‘There is no way I can know if this is misinformation that they were killed from an Israeli airstrike.

‘I don’t know until I am sure because my perspective is that they are alive.’

The world watched in horror on October 7 when footage emerged of Hamas terrorists dragging Shiri and her young family from their home in Nir Oz Kibbutz towards a waiting motorbike.

Video showed the sobbing mother clutching onto Kfir and Ariel as they were kidnapped, as horrified neighbours screamed: ‘She has a baby.’

With his red hair and toothless smile, Kfir’s harrowing ordeal has become for many a symbol of the brutality of Hamas’ attack on October 7, which saw the terrorists massacre 1,200 Israelis inside their homes or as they tried to flee a music festival.
