Seven Veils follows a theatre director (Amanda) who is dealing with repressed trauma in the lead up to her production of the opera Salome.
In addition to the movie’s lead, Seven Veils’ cast was rounded out by performers such as Rebecca Liddiard, Mark O’Brien and Douglas Smith.
The movie was directed and written by Atom Egoyan, who previously collaborated with the performer on the 2009 feature Chloe.
Principal photography for the feature took place earlier this year, with much of shooting taking place in Toronto.
The film had its world premiere at the 2023 Toronto International Film Festival in September.
Before the event, Amanda said she would not be promoting her movie at the Toronto International Film Festival in a post that was shared on her Instagram account.
The performer was originally set to appear at the star-studded event to give a bit of extra exposure to the feature, and she had also been given clearance to do so by SAG-AFTRA.
However, the actress wrote a message to explain why she had chosen not attend the festival.

Seyfried began by writing that she would have loved to promote Seven Veils as originally scheduled.
She wrote: I am SO PROUD of this movie and it hurts my heart not to stand next to the beautiful people who helped create this special film at out @tiff_net premiere next week.
‘@sagaftra has given us a waiver to promote this fully, magically independent Canadian movie but it doesn’t feel right to head the fest in light of the strike,’ she wrote.
Seyfried concluded by writing that she would be more than happy to give more exposure to the film after the striking members of SAG-AFTRA and the WGA came to agreements regarding their pay.
‘I can’t wait to show you all SEVEN VEILS when the time is right (and when we’ve come to a fair agreement for actors and writers,’ she wrote.
