Footage has emerged of former UFC star Jorge Masvidal dropping a fan with a brutal leg kick.

The clip sees Masvidal standing opposite a male fan, preparing to launch a leg kick which the man seems happy to take.

But he quickly regrets that decision, as Masvidal lands a kick just above his left knee, immediately sending him to the floor.

Clutching at the back of his leg, he attempts a smile and sticks his middle finger up at the camera, but is clearly in agony after taking the blow without protecting himself.

While the man is writing in pain, Masvidal seems very happy with the kick, before turning to the camera and jokingly asking: ‘Who did that?’

He then pretended to flee the scene, with the fan still on the floor and unable to rise to his feet.

Masvidal is not the first MMA fighter to use their skills on a fan in recent weeks.

The controversial former UFC middleweight champion Sean Strickland left influencer Sneako with a bloodied nose after a sparring session last month.

Despite taking on a novice, Strickland refused to go easy on Sneako, and was subsequently called out by Jake Paul, with the YouTuber-turned-boxer offering him a seven-figure payday.

Sneako was also given a painful lesson by bantamweight contender Merab Dvalishvili, who forced him to tap out after taking him down to the mat with ease.

Now Masvidal has hurt a fan with a leg kick at a time when his future in combat sports is currently unclear.

The 39-year-old quit MMA last year after losing on points to Gilbert Burns at UFC 287.

Having not fought in nearly a year, Masvidal has spoken of his interest in moving into boxing and potentially facing Nate Diaz in a rematch, after beating him in the Octagon back in 2019.

He recently told The MMA Hour: ‘I wanna do boxing, man.

‘There’s no deal in place, but I would love to fight this motherf****** in a boxing match.

‘Now the UFC is so gracious, and we showed a great deal. They’re gonna let me box for a couple of matches. Nate could be one of them, hopefully. I would love to do it. We got unfinished business.’
