Kylian Mbappe BREAKS the net with his powerful opener for PSG against Real Sociedad… with the Frenchman’s fierce strike causing delay while it was fixed

Kylian Mbappe broke the net with his powerful strike that put PSG further ahead in their Champions League tie against Real Sociedad on Tuesday night.

The French star drilled home across the goal to bury the ball in the far corner of the goal – and replays showed that it seemed to pull part of the netting away from the goalpost, causing a short delay while the issue was fixed.

It was the opening goal as PSG looked to confirm their spot in the last eight of the Champions League, after a 2-0 win in Spain in the first leg.

The French World Cup winner sprinted into the left-hand side of the penalty area, before whistling a shot into the far corner from an acute angle which goalkeeper Alex Remiro could not deal with.

Mbappe’s goal was his 40th goal or assist in all competitions this season, one of the leading figures across Europe’s big five leagues.
