Samantha Armytage took a cheeky swipe at her former Sunrise co-host David ‘Kochie’ Koch on Friday during a radio interview.
The Farmer Wants A Wife host, 46, appeared on Nova’s Fitzy and Wippa with Kate Ritchie to talk about the popular Channel Seven show and life on her farm in regional NSW.
She recalled a story about delivering a foal on the property she shares with her husband, equestrian businessman Richard Lavender.
‘I delivered a foal. I was holding the mare’s head, they’ve got to stand up within five minutes,’ she told the hosts.
Ryan ‘Fitzy’ Fitzgerald then jokingly asked if the newborns walked around like Kochie did at the Channel Seven Sunrise studios.

‘Like they own the place?’ Samantha responded.
However, co-host Kate Ritchie jumped in and clarified that Fitzy meant ‘wobbly on their feet’, and Samantha agreed that answer was better.
Samantha was co-host of the popular breakfast show Sunrise alongside Kochie from 2013 – 2021, and was replaced by newsreader Natalie Barr when she resigned from the role.
Last year, she took over hosting duties on Farmer Wants A Wife from Natalie Gruzlewski, who remains on the show as a presenter.
