Luke Littler has given his verdict on the future of Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag as the club weigh up whether to sack the Dutchman.
The 17-year-old darts sensation was recently crowned the Premier League champion during his debut year in the competition and has been keeping a close-eye on developments at his beloved Man United.
Warrington-born Littler is a boyhood supporter of the Old Trafford outfit having been raised nearby and has previously been outspoken on United’s recent difficult season.
He wasn’t present at the club’s recent FA Cup title victory over derby rivals Man City as he instead chose to celebrate his latest darts triumph at home, but has offered his thoughts on what should happen with Ten Hag.
A decision is expected to be made shortly on the future of the Dutchman as United conduct their end-of-season review following a difficult campaign.

United are currently undergoing their end-of-season review as they weigh up whether to sack Ten Hag
It was previously suggested that Ten Hag would be fired regardless of the FA Cup outcome, but fans at the club appear keen to see him given another season at the helm despite United suffering their worst-ever Premier League finish in eighth.
The new Ineos regime led by British billionaire Sir Jim Ratcliffe is set to enjoy it’s first transfer window since securing their investment in the 13-time Premier League champions and Littler believes Ten Hag has done enough to stay for another season.
Giving his opinion on Ten Hag’s future at United, Littler told The MMA Hour: ‘I want him to stay no matter what. Even if we lost [the FA Cup final].
‘If you look down the line of managers we’ve had like Louis van Gaal who won the FA Cup and then got sacked after a season, I think Mourinho’s the only one who had two to three years. David Moyes, he only had ten months.
Littler believes the Man United manager should be given another chance next season
‘So I just think we [should] keep him. Because we’re getting these managers for a year or two and they’re not doing anything. So if we give them time things might change.
‘I like what he does. Just give him time. Give him next season and if he doesn’t do ought, let him go.’
Ten Hag’s existing £9m-per-year contract runs until the end of next season, with Ratcliffe and his Ineos team weighing up whether to bring in a new head coach to kickstart their sporting revolution.
Former Bayern Munich and Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel is amongst the shortlist of candidates to replace Ten Hag, while Mauricio Pochettino has also been sounded out as a potential replacement.
