‘Sky Ferreira late by 1 hr 10 mins so far,’ one fan tweeted, capturing the collective frustration.

When Ferreira finally made her appearance at 8.50 pm, her presence was barely noticeable.

Footage from the concert showed her as just a shadow on a stage bathed in dim blue light, making it difficult for the audience to see her clearly.

‘Sky Ferreira showed up 80 mins late to her Sydney gig and is performing the whole show in the dark with her back turned to the crowd, who’s surprised?’ another fan tweeted, expressing their discontent with the unusual performance setup.

Despite the rocky start and unconventional lighting, some fans were still thrilled to see Ferreira live.

‘Sky Ferreira was almost two hours late but it was worth the wait to finally see her live,’ one fan posted to TikTok, highlighting the divided opinions among the audience.

Ferreira’s delayed performance included 16 songs – four fewer than what was initially planned on her setlist, which had been spotted by fans earlier.

This truncation of the setlist added another layer of disappointment for those who had been eagerly anticipating a full show.

Her tour continues with shows in Melbourne on Tuesday and Brisbane on Wednesday.
