- Matildas don’t play against until July 27
- Fowler is enjoying downtime in Australia
- Has been snapped looking relaxed and casual with Cleary
Matildas star Mary Fowler is slotting into WAG life with ease, pictured this week in loved up scenes with her NRL beau Nathan Cleary.
The versatile Manchester City striker is set to play a key role at the Paris Olympics which start on July 26.
But after two friendly matches against China, she has some well earned downtime ahead of the first Olympics match against Germany on the opening day of the games.
So she is spending time in Australia with her high profile partner who is on the comeback trail from injury.
Fowler looked relaxed and casual as she walked hand-in-hand with Cleary, wearing baggy clothing, ditching the make up and wearing her hair in what appeared to be loose plaits as they left Panthers HQ in Penrith.

Cleary had just finished his daily rehab on a hamstring injury that has ruled him out for eight weeks.
He is expected to miss the entire State of Origin series after aggravating the injury against the Bulldogs in May.
Scans revealed a grade two hamstring tear which will see Cleary ruled out for the next month of NRL matches as well.
Fowler was also seen at a Sydney café and running errands while her NRL star boyfriend was training with the Penrith Panthers on the long weekend.
Fowler wore a relaxed yet stylish outfit: a brown vest over a chequered sweater, camouflage pants, a black crossbody bag, and brown boots.
She highlighted her natural beauty by going makeup-free. This sighting came just days after Cleary watched Fowler in the Matildas’ 2-0 win over China at Accor Stadium in Sydney. He attended the game with his mother, Rebecca.

While Fowler is a certainty for Paris, Matildas coach Tony Gustavsson has been forced to gamble on the fitness of Katrina Gorry by including the injured midfielder in his squad.
Striker Caitilin Foord, who missed the Matildas’ recent friendly win over China with a hamstring strain, was also included.
Concern over Foord’s fitness is heightened given Sam Kerr remains sidelined, but the Arsenal forward was keen to stress the approach was cautious following a World Cup campaign and gruelling club duties.

The versatile Manchester City striker can also play in the midfield and will be a focal point of the Matildas attack in Paris
Should any of his 18 players pick up injuries between now and the group stage clash with Germany in Marseille, Gustavsson has four “alternate players” available to slot in.
Courtney Nevin, retiring goalkeeper Lydia Williams, Sharn Freier and fullback Charlotte Grant are the quartet on standby.
Grant is the most unfortunate casualty having done a solid job standing in for first-choice right-back Ellie Carpenter, who missed 12 months of action in the build-up to last year’s World Cup with an anterior cruciate ligament injury.
After facing Germany, Australia will meet Zambia and the USA in their other pool fixtures.
