A stingy diner has been branded ‘utterly disgusting’ after bragging about how he saved around $153 a week while eating out.
The anonymous Los Angeles-based customer has dedicated his entire account to showing people how he has hacked the service industry to save money for himself.
In each video he takes viewers along with him to coffee shops, high-end restaurants, and bars – leaving a $0 tip on every bill.
In one clip, posted on June 8, the man calculated that he saved $152.92 in one week by avoiding tips – despite acknowledging his ‘very helpful and kind’ servers.
His posts have quickly divided the internet, with some applauding the influencer for his penny-pinching tactic, and others blasting him for not offering servers extra cash in an industry that is predominantly based off of tips.

‘That is utterly disgusting,’ one user said, while another commented: ‘A trend I can get behind.’
Overall his spending for the week was $674.41 – but if he was to include tips at 20 percent, his total would have been around $810.
The customer chose to embark on his anti-tipping journey after he was blown away by one experience.
‘After ordering a Danish that costs $3, the cashier turned the iPad and I saw: $1, $2, $3 tips options; $3 tips for a bun that costs $3, man,’ he told the New York Post.
In his videos, which he started posting at the beginning of June, the man walked into many establishments, commented on his experience, and showed how much he paid for his bill.
In a clip posted on June 13, the man and his friend dined at an expensive restaurant and ordered a $175 pasta dish with extra truffles. He then showed the $389.47 bill at the end revealing he skipped the tip, which would have cost an extra $77.89 at 20 percent or $97.40 at 25 percent.

During a late night bar outing, the TikToker ordered multiple drinks at Doheny Room in West Hollywood and again, left no tips for the ‘friendly bartenders.’
He also chose to stay home one night and ordered food from Uber Eats and left a $0 tip.
At the end of each video the man asks his followers to recommend more places for him to enjoy and not tip at.
Many commenters felt that the TikToker was doing the right thing by not tipping while eating out.

‘I like the no tip trend,’ one said.
Another called him ‘the man of the people.’
‘You are an inspiration to us all,’ another wrote.
But many weren’t impressed with his casual take on dining, especially when it came to not tipping at sit down restaurants and bars.
‘I get no tip policy if they are not service, but no tip on a regular restaurant is devious,’ a user said.
‘What’s wrong with you,’ wrote another.
‘This isn’t something to brag about friend. Bartenders in the states rely on tips to pay their bills,’ someone said.
Federal minimum wage for tipped employees is $2.13 per-hour. In California where the video was filmed, tipped employees make $16 an hour, while fast-food workers at major chains make $20 an hour.
