Australian influencer Bonnie Stacey has shared devastating health news with her followers.
The Perth-based landscape designer and mother of two young children, who delights her 37,000 Instagram followers with her creative gardening solutions, has revealed that she is battling skin cancer at the age of just 30.
‘Hi friends, this is a difficult post to write as the last couple of weeks have been the most challenging yet for our family’ she began her long caption alongside a photo posted to the social platform last week.
‘Unfortunately after some recent tests I have just been diagnosed with stage 3 Melanoma and will be undergoing immediate treatment and surgery’ she continued.
‘For those of you who aren’t familiar with my Melanoma story, I had an early stage Melanoma 10 years ago at the age of 20.
‘Doctors believe this is the source of the Melanoma which has now been detected in my lymph nodes (which is very uncommon given it has been 10 years).
‘This was picked up after I sought a third opinion on a lump that showed up in my armpit back in November.
‘An important reminder to always seek a second, third, fourth opinion if you feel like something isn’t right.’

She went on: ‘As you can imagine, as a 30-year-old mum with two young kids the news has been pretty devastating for our family and my main focus at the moment is to get better for my babies.
‘If you would like to support our family during this time you can do so by purchasing any of our online guides via @educatedexteriors or by sharing/spreading the word about them as this will be our main supply of income while we take time off to process and deal with this recent diagnosis.’
Bonnie said she will ‘be sharing more about my story (when I’m ready) as I think it’s an important message to spread.’
She added that she’ll be taking a break from work while she battles the illness.
