Sunrise viewers have slammed the top rating breakfast show’s ‘terrible’ new look after Seven’s recent layoffs.

A number of regular watchers of the program have posted to the Media Spy forums to criticise the show’s revamped graphics.

One forum poster shared a screenshot of a graph used on the show to demonstrate the affordability of dental procedures in Bali relative to Australia.

However the confusing pie chart showed Australia with the visibly smaller portion than Bali, seeming to indicate local dentistry was in fact cheaper.

‘This graph is supposed to show that dental procedures are 2/3 cheaper in Bali than Australia,’ the puzzled poster wrote, leading to several comments.

‘Were their graphic artists also made redundant recently? Those graphics look terrible,’ said one commenter, referring to the recent round of redundancies at the network.

‘Well, probably. It’s a brand new young and fresh team now remember?’ quipped another.

‘They’ve let their Adobe subscription lapse and now use [free design software] Canva,’ wrote another post, followed by a cry laughing emoji.

Users also critiqued the show’s graphics explaining recent Melbourne train delays, however one user defended Sunrise staff by claiming those images were ‘provided by Metro Trains’.

The Seven Network has undergone upheaval in recent weeks with a raft of job cuts, as well as the ongoing fallout from the network’s controversial Spotlight interview with Bruce Lehrmann.

Spotlight boss Mark Llewellyn left the company after ex-producer Taylor Auerbach disclosed the network’s alleged role in facilitating cocaine and prostitutes for interviews with Lehrmann.

Veteran journalist Robert Ovadia has also launched legal action against Seven after he was sacked by the network.

Those departures – plus many in digital division – have made some journalists fearful that many more are to follow.

Up to 150 jobs are set to be axed, with Seven’s chief executive Jeff Howard expected to announce cuts across the television and print divisions, sales and marketing teams.

On Tuesday, Seven described planned redundancies as ‘unfortunate’, but added: ‘We are not discussing the detail.’

Disgruntled TV staff fear there may be no other options for them if they leave Seven now with other TV networks, including Nine enduring their own cuts.

One staffer admitted: ‘There isn’t anywhere else to go.’
