Victoria’s Secret models slammed for using n-word at show

A group of Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show models are being slammed after a video emerged appearing to show several of the young women saying the N-word while singing along to rapper Cardi B’s hit song ‘Bodak Yellow.’

The short clip shows several models, most of whom appear to be white, dancing around in their custom made robes backstage to the chart topping song and rap the lyric:  ‘I don’t wanna choose / And I’m quick, cut a ni**a hustle / Don’t get comfortable.’

It’s unclear exactly which women are rapping in the video, since it pans around the room.

The clip was posted by a Twitter account called Pop Crave on Tuesday, with many social media users slamming the models and condemning their use of the word.

‘There are too many nonblack people in this video for the N word to be that loud,’ one Twitter user wrote.

‘If you’re not black, don’t say the N word. Point. Blank. Period,’ another person tweeted.

Another Twitter user noted: ‘Nah. That n-word was too loud and clear for there only to be one black girl in this room’.

One woman even called for the models to be fired.

‘Welp @victoriassecret plz (sic) fire all of them for saying the n-word all carefree.’

Another person agreed and tweeted: ‘Oh! I see they said the n-word so freely. They all gotta go.’

But one Twitter user noticed that among the group of women, model Devon Windsor did not open her mouth when the racial slur appeared in the song.

‘The safe one is @DevWindsor,’ the woman tweeted alongside a photo of the blonde model standing still as her colleagues dance around her.

Victoria’s Secret has not commented about the video.

This latest incident comes after the company faced controversy as some accused them of appropriated Asian and Native American cultures at the 2012 and 2016 show.

Also comes after Gigi Hadid announced she was not going to walk in the show in Shanghai earlier this month after she came under fire in China over a controversial video showing her squinting her eyes to imitate Buddha.
