Sia’s lacklustre Melbourne concert slammed by fans

She’s the famously photo-shy Australian singer, who is known for her reserved nature.

And Sia, wearing her signature face-covering wig, left fans furious after she took Melbourne’s AAMI Stadium stage for a concert on Thursday.

Taking to Twitter to slam Sia’s performance, they questioned whether she was even there, claiming they couldn’t see or hear the singer during the 90-minute set.

‘Worst concert ever!’ Angry fans liken SIA’s lacklustre Melbourne show to ‘watching it on DVD’ as they are left ‘disappointed’ and ‘gutted’ by not being able to see or hear the singer

Guests paid up to $179 for tickets, with some fans asking for their money back and adding: ‘The most expensive ticket I ever bought for the cheapest show in town.’

In videos and pictures shared from the evening, Sia was seen towards the back and side of stage, with fans sharing the shots to prove ‘her position on the stage made it hard for a lot of people to see her’.

Her paying customers also weren’t impressed that audio-visual elements weren’t loud enough and fed out pre-recorded videos, rather than a live feed of the concert to those watching further back from the stage.

‘So the video screens at Sia’s concert are prerecorded versions of exactly what they’re doing on stage. this is not exactly kosher right?’

Another frustrated fan Tweeted: ‘Sat thru 3hrs of support acts for 75min show. Artist stood in same spot all show, no audience interaction, relied entirely on backing-track (no live band) & pre-record video. Boring & pretentious. Was @Sia even there or have we been had?’

Many other concert-goers questioned Sia’s attendance also, writing: ‘Sia are you even here tonight?’, ‘Sia can you confirm you were actually in Melbourne tonight?’   and ‘Was she even there?’

'Don't think she was even here':  Many concert-goers questioned Sia's attendance entirely

'No connection with the audience': Fans also reported the singer was not very chatty and rarely addressed her adoring fans during her 90-minute set

Lost a fan! Some claimed they wished they'd stayed home, while others said the experience meant they were no longer a 'big fan' of the Chandelier hit-maker

Fans also reported the Chandelier hit-maker was not very chatty and rarely addressed the audience during her set.

‘I was hoping for greater interaction’ and ‘didn’t utter a word for the duration – so gutted!’ wrote two disappointed attendees.

Another slammed Sia’s live performance: ‘Sia’s concert is like watching it on DVD with several thousand other people. No connection with the audience, so tightly scripted and rehearsed.’
