Shappi Khorsandi is FIRST star to be VOTED OUT of jungle

Shappi Khorsandi has become the first star to be eliminated from the jungle, in the 17th season of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!

While Amir Khan, Dennis Wise and Iain Lee were immune from being voted out, the rest of the camp waited nervously on Friday evening’s instalment as Ant and Dec announced the news of the first eviction.

Voting took place during the live episode, with only a small window of time for the public to decide who should leave first, with Shappi, 44, getting the most votes.

‘He gets away with absolute murder!’ Shappi Khorsandi spills what she REALLY thinks of Amir Khan as she becomes the FIRST star to be voted out of the jungle

The comedienne appeared relieved to be out of the camp. ‘I missed my children like crazy,’ she said, bursting into tears.

Ant and Dec made sure they broke it to her that the now-famous StrawberryGate was in fact Amir Khan’s doing, after the entire camp believed it to be down to Iain Lee.

‘Amir is everyone’s cheeky little brother, and he gets away with absolute murder!’ Shappi said on learning this information.

Shappi didn’t face many trials during her time, and she declared to Ant and Dec, whilst sipping from a glass of champagne: ‘I think I got off lightly!’

She did feature in a Dingo Dollar Challenge with Jamie Lomas involving rubber snakes, and a trial in which she and Becky Vardy were put through a race across the jungle that saw them swim fully-clothed through a lake.

‘I don’t know what kind of life I’ve led but I’ve never swam wearing all my clothes, my shoes and a rucksack on my back,’ she said of the latter task.

Shappi – who will go on to be reunited with her children Cassius and Genevieve – told Ant and Dec: ‘I’m really relieved to be out, I feel like I had the most incredible experience and I’ll never forget it. And I’m gonna see the guys when they come out, so there’s no point missing people that you’re gonna see again.

She said: ‘It messes with your moods, of course it does, because you think we’re going to have games and we’re going to have fun, but everyone’s just so tired. And then like, in your real world you think the idea of getting five salt and vinegar crisps … Like we were so excited about those crisps.’
