Carlton star Matthew Kennedy and his wife Maryanne have welcomed a baby boy.
The AFL player, 27, and his partner revealed the exciting news on Instagram by sharing a precious photo of them tenderly cradling their bundle of joy.
They captioned the photo with some heartfelt words, and revealed their son’s adorable name: ‘You have our hearts little man. Theodore James Kennedy. 05.09.24.’

Many of their footy friends quickly took to the comment section to congratulate them on the amazing news.
‘He’s perfect!! Congratulations guys,’ wrote AFL WAG Kristen McGovern and fellow WAG Monique Cripps posted a love heart emoji.
Meanwhile, Carlton FC posted the joyous news to their own page, and wrote: ‘Amazing! Congratulating Matthew and Maryanne Kennedy on the arrival of their son.’
Kennedy told 7News he had to work hard to catch a flight from Melbourne to Brisbane last week, to ensure he was by his wife’s side when she gave birth.

His hectic footy schedule saw him play in every single game for the Blues this year.
He can now enjoy some well-deserved rest, as Carlton lost to Brisbane in last week’s Elimination Final, ending their hopes of winning the 2024 Premiership.
Matthew married his long-term girlfriend in an outdoor wedding ceremony in November last year.
The devout Catholic met his partner through the church in 2016.
