Jets’ holdout Haason Reddick issues cryptic six-word message ahead of Patriots game

Jets’ holdout Haason Reddick issued a cryptic message on social media Thursday night before his team took on the Patriots.

Reddick, who was traded to the Jets in April from the Eagles, has yet to play or practice with the team as he seeks a new contract – and is costing himself almost $800,000 for every game he misses.

And before his team took on the Patriots on Thursday, he shared a vague six-word statement on social media.

‘God will always make a way,’ he wrote on X, along with praying hands.

While the meaning of his message was unclear, fans unsurprisingly brought up his ongoing holdout in the replies.

‘His way is to MetLife stadium tonight against the patriots,’ one fan cracked.

‘Just show up, it’s not that hard,’ another said.

‘Jets D needs you big dawg. Time to make a statement,’ a third added.

It was the first time that Reddick had posted on X since July 13.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter noted earlier this month that Reddick had already topped $5million in fines – penalties that were mandated by the league’s collective bargaining agreement.

Reddick will lose about $21.75 million if he sits out the entire season.

He previously requested a trade back on August 12 – just five months after being acquired via trade by the Jets from the Eagles.

However, the Jets said they would not be honoring his request.

They gave up a conditional 2026 third-round pick to Philadelphia for Reddick.
