DWTS pro Maksim Chmerkovskiy brands ‘fake heiress’ Anna Delvey a ‘s****y dancer’ in shock rant

Former Dancing With The Stars pro Maksim Chmerkovskiy has unleashed a wave of criticism against Anna Delvey, who is currently competing on the series.

While appearing on The TMZ Podcast, the 44-year-old performer branded 33-year-old Delvey a ‘s****y dancer.’

‘There’s so many other people you could choose from,’ he said about the producers’ decision to cast the formerly incarcerated socialite.

‘I don’t buy this “she was nervous stuff.” She was a s****y dancer,’ he declared on the latest episode of the entertainment podcast.

He also said her ‘standoffish’ personality is ‘not really going to help her in this competition.’

When asks how many weeks he thinks she’ll last on the long-running competition show, Maksim said, ‘I don’t care. She’s not somebody I tune in to watch.’

He added, ‘I’m not saying anything no one else is saying also.’

It comes as Anna  – paired with Ezra Sosa – has received a wave of backlash for being included in the latest season of the show following her criminal past.

She is known for swindling people out of money while she posed as a German heiress.

The scammer, who was portrayed by actress Julia Garner in the Netflix miniseries Inventing Anna, was jailed in 2019 for her crimes.

‘She is a damn criminal,’ one outraged viewer wrote on X, following her debut on DWTS last week.

In 2022 Anna began house arrest as she waited to find out if she’d be allowed to remain in the United States following her complete prison stint.

She was recently allowed to start working again and to travel within 70 miles of where she lives on the east coast.

Additionally, Anna was given a Social Security number and permitted to use social media again.

Viewers have fiercely slammed Dancing With The Stars for including ‘criminal’ Anna in its latest season – as the fraudster made her debut performance with a bedazzled ankle monitor.

Social media was flooded with any angry messages about her participation in the show, with many bashing the network for allowing the felon to compete on the ‘famous dance floor.’

She is not the first-time Dancing With The Stars competitor to have served time behind bars.

Rapper Lil Kim, comedian Tommy Chong, and entertainer Steve O have previously joined the series after their sentences.

Delvey, however, is the only star who is known solely for her conviction.
