Hamish and Andy season two of their TV show True Story

Comedians Hamish Blake and Andy Lee ended their Hit Network drivetime radio show on Friday, with a final show held in front of thousands at a Melbourne arena.

And while some fans might be sad, it’s not the last we’ll hear of the duo. 

The Herald Sun reports that the pair will start working on season two of their TV show, True Story, as early as Monday.

Andy told the publication: ‘Pre-production starts for that on Monday (tomorrow), which is just enough time for us to shake off the hangover from Friday.’

The boys are also set to do a weekly podcast for their die-hard fans. 

‘We are keeping our toe dipped in next year,’ Hamish said.

He added: ‘For everyone who podcasts the show, they will still receive 20 per cent of the current offering with a weekly podcast that will start up around February to March.’

After Friday’s radio show, Hamish took to Instagram to share a selfie from the venue, in front of the crowds.

He then thanked fans for their support over the years.

He added: ‘Can’t wait for the next chapter (whatever it is) and we shall chat to you on the podcast in 2018 (will be weekly, starting end of Feb, for those playing along). x.’

In August, fans recently said they were ‘disgusted’ by the finale of of True Story.

The show featured two housemates finding themselves involved in a series of ridiculous dares, with one putting fly spray into his mouth and the other holding his friend’s faeces.

Social media user flocked to Twitter at the time to voice their frustration and disgust. 

‘What the hell is the point of this episode of #truestory #hamishandandy??? Disgusting!!!!!’ on Twitter user wrote.

Another revealed that they changed the channel: ‘Sorry #hamishandandy, but this episode of #truestory is disgusting. Changed channel.’

Meanwhile, one disgruntled social media user referenced the late Kerry Packer, who owned a controlling interest in the Nine television network. 

‘If Kerry Packer was alive he would have pulled this show by now,’ they remarked.
