Kaitlyn Bristowe reveals how she feels seeing ex Jason Tartick on People’s Choice Country Awards red carpet – one year after split

They ended their engagement last year after four years together.

But that doesn’t mean Kaitlyn Bristowe is unable to be in the same room as her ex Jason Tartick.

The duo happened to both be on the red carpet at the 2024 People’s Choice Country Awards, but Kailtyn, 39, was able to brush off the run-in as she spoke with E!

Video posted by the outlet on their Instagram showed Jason, 35, on the red carpet while Kaitlyn stood mere feet away, awaiting her moment in the spotlight.

‘Honestly, I actually don’t find it weird,’ she said of seeing her ex Jason, 35, in close proximity. ‘A year ago I would have, but like, it’s been a minute. And at this point in my life, I’m like, “I just want everyone to be happy.”‘

Kaitlyn Bristowe revealed how it felt seeing her ex Jason Tartick at the People’s Choice Country Awards on Thursday

‘I’m in a good place and I just am like, yeah. I waved. Like, it’s all good. I feel like other people care more than I do.’

‘This isn’t the first time we’ve been in the same room. So it’s really not weird. Maybe like six months ago, my heart would have been in my butt. But like, it’s chill,’ she added.

Kaitlyn absolutely dazzled on the red carpet in a bedazzling sheer crop top and skirt set that fit her like a glove.

She displayed her gym-honed abs – and her black underwear – as she posed up a storm in the head-turning look.

Jason was also dressed sharply in an all-black outfit paired with a burgundy blazer and suede ankle boots.

Injecting a country touch, he polished off the look with a rustic metallic belt buckle.

Both rising to fame on The Bachelor franchise, the two ultimately found love with one another off-camera before getting engaged in in 2021.

The relationship wasn’t meant to be however – they called it quits last year.

Jason has since moved on with YouTube star Kat Stickler, confirming their relationship this past April after months of speculation.

Meanwhile, Kaitlyn has sparked dating rumors with Zac Clark, another Bachelorette vet who was previously engaged to Tayshia Adams.

Last month, Kaitlyn revealed that she held a ‘funeral service’ and ‘fake burial’ following her 2023 split from Jason.

The former Bachelorette star made the revelation while speaking to Amanda Hirsch during the latest episode of her Off The Vine podcast.

‘[I had a] little funeral service — like a fake burial,’ she spilled, adding, ‘I did it alone. I didn’t bury anything. It was all mental.’

She explained, ‘It’s more of a visual practice and it is to say your goodbyes and make a little peace with it. It shifts something in the ol’ brain. It really does do something in your brain.’

The former Bachelorette star confessed that the mock burial didn’t fully get her over the relationship, but she said that it was helpful.
