The mother of Aaron Carter’s only child has confirmed the late singer is indeed the biological father of son Prince – after rumors swirled over the paternity of the child.
Carter aged 34 died on November 5, 2022, when he was found drowned in a bathtub by a housekeeper – less than a year after he welcomed his son with fiance Melanie Martin.
The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner later ruled it an accidental death and determined that he had drowned after inhaling difluoroethane, a refrigerant contained in compressed air canisters used for dusting, and taking generic Xanax.
Martin detailed the ‘baseless’ accusations to TMZ and said both she and Prince, who will turn three in November – have received ‘death threats and other forms of harassment’ over the years.
Martin and Prince, together with Carter’s twin sister Angel have undergone an DNA test which proves ‘without a shadow of a doubt’ that the I Want Candy singer is the biological father of Prince.

The test shows a 99.7403 per cent ‘probability of relationship’ between Angel and Prince.
Martin said: ‘I have been very fortunate to be able to shield my son from all of it so far, but as my son is getting older and is learning how to read, I have decided to put an end to these rumors once and for all.
‘I hope that the hate and baseless rumors suggesting otherwise will now cease.’
Aaron plunged even further into his addictions after his sister Leslie died in 2012 of a prescription drug overdose at the age of just 25.
The family tragedies came thick and fast for Aaron, who also lost his father Robert Carter to an apparent heart attack in 2017.
In the rehab trip he underwent after his father’s demise, the doctors deduced that Aaron was suffering from multiple personality disorder and schizophrenia.
Aaron’s autopsy results showed he had consumed alprazolam, which is a generic form of Xanax, and inhaled compressed difluoroethane, according to the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner, TMZ reported.

Aaron was ‘incapacitated while in the bathtub due to the effects’ of the substances, according to officials.
The body was found in his home November 5, 2022. Authorities said in the report that the entertainer, under the influence of the substances, ‘slipped under the water’ and drowned.’
