Today host Carson Daly poked fun at British rockers Noel and Liam Gallagher on Monday morning after the Oasis stars announced they will bring their reunion tour across the pond in 2025.
It was announced that the Manchester-born siblings will play shows in New Jersey, Los Angeles, Chicago, Toronto, and Mexico City in August and September next year – just weeks are wrapping up their UK and Ireland dates.
Sharing the announcement during the PopStart segment on Today, Carson, 51, said: ‘We’ll start today with news hot off the press from Oasis. The newly reunited band hitting the road, announcing only moments ago, there is indeed the lineup of the North America tour dates finally.
‘The nineties superstars will be hitting Toronto, Chicago, New Jersey, LA And Mexico City starting in August of next year. That is after they wrap up their run… and I say this like we hope… we hope they can make it through the UK and Ireland dates.
‘That’s the thing with Oasis, their relationship is so tumultuous. We hope they can last through the test dates to make it over to this pond,’ Carson joked as his cohost Savannah Guthrie commented: ‘There’s a lot of drama!’

The band announced their new tour dates by posting a montage video on Instagram and X, formerly known as Twitter, which features many many posts from fans begging for North America dates.
They captioned the clip: ‘People of Mexico, get ready. The Brothers are on the way. Oasis Tour North America 2025. Register for the Pre-Sale Giveaway for Mexico City (link in our profile). The pre-sale will take place on Thursday October 3. General Sale will be Friday October 4 at 12pm local time.’
Fans were quick to comment and share their excitement as one person wrote: ‘THANK YOU I LOVE YOU GUYS,’ and another said: ‘this is such a great move guys i love you.’
British fans, who were unsuccessful in buying tickets for the UK and Ireland dates, hinted that they may try their luck for the newly announced shows.
‘It could now be genuinely cheaper to fly to the US and watch OASIS there, than to watch them here in the UK,’ one person pondered on X.
Oasis sent fans into frenzy over the weekend when they teased an unexpected announcement ahead of their world tour in 2025.
The Live Forever hitmakers took to social media on Saturday and shared snaps of giant billboards showing the siblings, with a headline reading ‘be careful what you wish for.’
UK and Ireland dates were subject to ‘unprecedented’ demand when tickets went on sale last month, with fans left enraged by prices skyrocketing due to Ticketmaster’s ‘dynamic pricing’ – or by being kicked off the site once they had queued for hours to secure a spot.
