Cate Blanchett looks effortlessly chic in shiny leather pants as she attends the Louis Vuitton show for Paris Fashion Week

Cate Blanchett dressed to impress as she stole the spotlight at the Louis Vuitton spring 2025 show at Paris Fashion Week on Tuesday. 

The 55-year-old Australian oozed effortless French chic in a pair of patent leather trousers that featured a low-cut across her hips and a bold leather bow. 

The Oscar-winning actress tucked in a high-neck white blouse that featured broad ’80s shoulders and pair of sleek black stilettos. 

She kept her accessories to a minimum, wearing one statement ring on each hand and a pair of chunky pearl earrings. 

Cate shielded her eyes from the sun in the temporary venue set up in a courtyard of the iconic Louvre museum as she gave a masterclass in posing for a flattering photo.

Louis Vuitton always closes out Paris Fashion Week with the most star-studded front row of them all — and the house’s spring 2025 show on Tuesday was no exception. 

Brand ambassadors including Zendaya, Ana de Armas, Lisa and Alicia Vikander, and of course Cate, arrived in their finest black-and-white ensembles. 

The Ocean’s 8 star was in fine company at the fashion show – seated with the likes of the Haim sisters, Lisa from Blackpink and French first lady Brigitte Macron.

Louis Vuitton womenswear designer Nicolas Ghesquiere showcased striking silhouettes from decades and centuries past.

Models sashayed down the runway in sheer babydoll dresses, sharp-shouldered jackets like Cate’s, robe-like overcoats that swept the floor and loose, bohemian trousers.

Also on show were handbags of all shapes and sizes, with some stacked together like jewellery, geometric mini skirts, an industrial-looking leather stiletto shoe, scarf dresses, and ready-to-wear silk pantsuits and jumpsuits.

Cate has long been a fan of the timeless leather pant, showcasing the item’s versatility and wow factor at exclusive events and premieres all over the world.

Last week, she looked sensational as she paired another pair of black leather trousers with a black sequinned floaty top for the The 2024 Albies, hosted by The Clooney Foundation for Justice, in New York.

Cate chose her eldest son Dashiell, 22, as her date for the evening and walked hand in hand with him amid speculation that she has called off her marriage with husband Andrew Upton.
