Yumi Stynes doesn’t look like this anymore! Feminist author looks unrecognisable as she leads Australian Women In Music Awards 2024 arrivals

Yumi Stynes looked almost unrecognisable as she attended the Australian 2024 Women in Music Awards at Fortitude Music Hall in Brisbane on Wednesday.

The feminist author, 49, rocked a very fresh cut as she posed alongside Aussie singer Sarah McLeod.

At first glance, Yumi’s shaved sides could be mistaken as a new bald look against the black backdrop, but closer inspection showed her iconic pompadour remained.

The podcaster opted for a rocker look as she slipped into a strapless black dress with matching tights and sturdy boots.

Donning her usual red lip, Yumi stuck out her tongue for the camera and accessorised with black frames.

Meanwhile, Sarah, 51, flashed her midriff in a black cropped top and leather pants as she stepped into a pair of black loafers and cinched a chain belt around her waist.

The Superjesus guitarist slicked on a glamorous makeup look for the occasion with a smoky eye and bold red lip.

Elsewhere, iconic Aussie country singer Kasey Chambers was all smiles as she arrived wearing a rugged brown coat.

Looking every inch the outback rocker, the Am I Not Pretty Enough hitmaker, 48, let the jacket do the talking with a simple black shirt and slacks underneath.

Her brunette locks were pin straight as they fell past her shoulders and glittered beneath the lights with gold hair tinsel.

The ARIA Award winner took home the Lifetime Achievement Award.
