Daisy May Cooper recalled the story of a woman who was ‘lifted away by aliens’ as she discussed crop circles with her brother Charlie for his TV show.

In a teaser clip ahead of BBC Three’s Myth Country, which is set to air on Friday, the siblings catch up over FaceTime.

For the programme Charlie tours the UK in a camper van to investigate rural myths and legends.

Calling his sister with an update, he explained to her: ‘The weirdest thing happened today. I actually went into my first crop circle.

‘As soon as I stepped inside, I had goosebumps and you know like when you rub a balloon on your head, it was like static.’

Daisy replied: ‘Do you remember Judy… well once she was walking her dog and the next minute she was like 20 miles away and she is absolutely convinced that she was lifted up by aliens. She absolutely believes in crop circles.

‘Do you believe her when she says that?’

Charlie responded: ‘Well having been here and having been in one, I think it’s a little bit too obvious to just throw the word alien into the ring because I think there’s something more significant going on.

‘I know for a fact the formations are built on lines on energy that connect ancient monuments like Stonehenge and Avebury.’

In the brand-new factual series, Charlie investigates everything from Crop Circles and UFOs in Wiltshire to roaming ghost dogs on the coast and countryside of East Anglia.

He will meet the believers and the naysayers, visiting iconic locations and gathering evidence in a bid to get to the bottom of the truth.

Earlier this year MailOnline revealed Daisy has made roughly £2 million in the last two years as her acting stock has risen to the point that she’s been touted as the next M in James Bond

The uber-talented This Country star has made her fortune by starring in huge ratings winners such as the comedy drama Rain Dogs and Am I Being Unreasonable?

Her firm Daisy Cooper Ltd has recently filed its annual accounts, which reveal that it paid £189,601 in corporation tax for the year upto 31 March 2023.

At a 19 per cent rate, the firm made an approximate profit of £997,900.

The previous year, in 2022, it paid £155,865 in tax, which works out at a profit of £820,342. As it’s a smaller company, it didn’t have to file a profit and loss account.

But it wasn’t always like this for Daisy, who based This Country on her and brother Charlie’s own life, where they’d be unemployed and loafing around their native Cotswolds with nothing to do.

Charlie Cooper’s Myth Country starts October 4 at 21:00 on BBC Three, with episodes available on iPlayer.
