Taraji P Henson smolders in a new cover story for Glamour magazine’s Women of the Year issue.
The 54-year-old longtime actress — who wore a flashy look at the Fight Night premiere last month — was nearly unrecognizable with long, frosty blonde locks in photos taken by Micaiah Carter.
The Empire star stunned in a strapless, burnt orange Jason Wu dress and Van Cleef jewelry.
Complementing the bold autumnal look was a vampy, deep plum, matte lipstick coated on her pout.
Within the pages of the glossy, Henson discussed her childhood as a performer, her journey to fame, and Hollywood’s pay inequity.

Another eye-catching outfit worn by the beauty was a long-sleeved mini dress with draped knotted rouleaux trim from Zimmermann.
She also posed in a textured Tory Burch coat worn over a nude-toned negligee with sheer, knee-high white socks and heels.
Taraji switched up her hair for the outfit, opting to rock a voluminous, jet black, kinky-textured afro.
And with each ensemble, the Washington DC-bred entertainer showed off a long, cream manicure.
Describing her foray into entertainment, Taraji told the publication: ‘As early as kindergarten I was rambunctious, full of energy.’
She also said she was buoyed by family and teachers as she chose to pursue her passion.
‘My dreams were nurtured as a kid,’ the Baby Boy actress said. ‘All my loved ones saw that I had this thing, and they all kind of chipped in how they could, even if it was just [cheering me on].’
After a stint at North Carolina A&T State University, where she intended to study electrical engineering, Henson rerouted and enrolled at Howard University.

‘When I finally refocused myself and said, “It’s acting,” there was no looking back for me,’ she explained.
‘I said, “I’m going to master this s**t. No one is going to say I can’t act ever, ever again.”‘
Reflecting on the viral moment last year when she appeared on Gayle King’s SiriusXM radio show and discussed the lack of equal pay in entertainment, Taraji shared, ‘I think I was triggered.’

She had been promoting her Oprah-produced film The Color Purple. Looking back, she added, ‘This big movie is coming out, and I am Taraji P. Henson, and I have this incredible track record and all this work that I’ve done, and people are putting it all together, and people are telling you, “You’re so amazing!” And it’s like, Yeah, but I still am struggling with the same thing I was years ago.’
But it’s brave moments like that one that fuel her; she told journalist Alanna Bennett, ‘I’m not fearless walking through this world. I’m scared as s**t right now with this election.
‘I have anxiety like you can’t even imagine. But I can manage it when I understand what I’m dealing with.’
Elsewhere in the conversation she disclosed: ‘If you’re moving in fear, I move far the f**k away from you, because you’re about to do something stupid.’
