Her long, dark hair was brushed away from her face with bold streaks of gray.

The Rare Objects actress and director was wearing a similar ensemble when she posed for a marketing photo with her fellow Our Town cast members, which she posted Sunday on social media.

‘When are you coming? This is your chance to see an American Classic,’ graphics over the photo read, tagging @playbill and @ourtownbroadway.

In an interview with Playbill, Holmes spoke about working on a show that was first produced in 1938.

‘He didn’t want this to be a play about nostalgia,’ the Dawson’s Creek alum said referring to director Kenny Leon.

‘He wanted this to be a play about village life set against the stars, against humanity.’

Holmes plays Mrs. Webb, mother to Zoey Deutch’s protagonist Emily.

The message of the work set in the fictional Grover’s Corners is one the keeps resonating with generation after generation.

‘It’s about time—that’s what we keep talking about,’ the actress asserted.

‘We have to be present in our lives, and that’s a beautiful statement to make, especially coming out of COVID,’ she said.

‘Jim [Parsons] as the stage manager has these lines about how two people fall in love and that moment when they realize that they’re in love and they’re going to get married. ‘Hearing Ephram (Sykes) and Zoey say those lines, it’s like we are still saying the same thing to each other.’
