Amanda Holden revealed she’s ‘completely covered in bum butter’ ahead of her mammoth bike ride from Cornwall to London.

The Heart Breakfast presenter, 53, will kick off her 250 mile cycling challenge on Monday, clocking up six hours a day on the road.

Speaking on Sunday, she admitted she’s fully stocked up on ‘bum butter’ to help prevent saddle sores as all her pals keep sending it.

Amanda also joked that she’ll be ‘as ripped as Davina McCall’ by the end of the week as she burns though 15,000 calories a day.

In an interview with The Sun’s Bizarre column, the radio host explained: ‘I’ve got padded gussets and bum butter, but that’s just every day for me. I’d never heard of bum butter but now I’ve got so many varieties.’

She added: ‘We reckon we’ll be burning 15,000 calories a day. I’ve still got a Saganaki tummy from my holiday in Corfu so I’m doing this now for charity — and for weight loss. I’ll be like Davina McCall when I get back. I’ll be ripped.’

Amanda said she’s ‘had her feet up’ over the week in preparation for the challenge.

‘My poor little feet, I’ve even had a pedicure so they are ready to go. At the end of each day I’ll be putting them into a bucket of iced water while I sip on a mojito,’ she joked.

She is set to cycle over 250 miles in a bid to raise funds for Global’s Make Some Noise.

In preparation for the challenge during last week’s radio show, Amanda rode an exercise bike in her stilettos and glamorous outfit.

The ITV star previously said she would like a basket on the front of her bike for the bike ride as she would like to pick up snacks to keep her going.

She said: ‘I want a shopper with a basket and a gel saddle because if I want to stop for snacks at the local Spar in Bude, I will be doing that.’

Amanda continued: ‘I’m going to need snacks for energy purposes. But do you know what, as I’m doing this my thighs are hitting my tummy flab, so at least I can knead away the flab with my own thighs!’

She will cycle from Bude, Cornwall to the Heart Studios in Leicester Square over five days, clocking up a gruelling six hours of cycling a day covering over 250 miles.

On October 7, she will begin her challenge in Cornwall before cycling through Somerset, Berkshire, Wiltshire, and Surrey to get to the Heart HQ in London’s Leicester Square on October 11.

Amanda is no stranger to tough challenges having previously completed the Three Peaks Challenge, a 10,000-foot skydive and climbing to the top of Blackpool Tower in aid of Global’s Make Some Noise.

However, Amanda’s ‘big ride to work’ will be the farthest and longest Amanda has ever cycled before.
