Australian Idol star Stan Walker begs fans to help him find ‘priceless’ items lost at his Gold Coast concert – as he offers reward: ‘This means more to me than anything’

Stan Walker has taken to social media to beg his fans for their help retrieving his ‘priceless’ bag of items which was lost on Saturday at his Gold Coast show.

The 2009 Australian Idol winner, 33, posted a heartbreaking clip to Facebook revealing his tote bag went missing while performing at Promiseland music festival.

‘I had a bag with all my taonga Māori. All my necklaces, rings that are priceless, some of them are hundreds of years old and everything was in there,’ Stan told fans.

Stan added the contents of the bag were extremely valuable to him and he was offering a reward to anyone who returned it.

‘If you know anybody who might know where they are, please message. There’s a reward for finding this because this means more to me than anything.’

He added the tote bag contained heirlooms that had been in his family for generations, including necklaces, rings and taonga greenstones.

‘It’s not just my stuff, it’s my wife’s, my kids, so if anybody knows anything there’s a reward.

‘Basically the bag has disappeared, I am not saying anyone has stolen it.’

Stan later posted an update to Instagram revealing he had not yet retrieved the bag and begged his fans to help him locate it.

The energetic performer spent much of his upbringing moving between New Zealand and Australia, before shooting to fame in 2009 after winning the seventh season of Australian Idol.

He made headlines in October 2019 when he spoke about getting his stomach removed after being diagnosed with stomach cancer two years prior.

In 2017, the songwriter was diagnosed with the rare-cancer causing gene, CDH1, which has already claimed the lives of 25 of his relatives.

He told Daily Mail Australia in May 2018 that he was focused on the future.

‘I’m going to live my best life and going to do everything I can to make sure I’m living my dreams and not just sitting there waiting for somebody else to tell me I can do this,’ he said.

Stan is still continuing his music career after winning Idol in 2009 when he was just 18 years old, after narrowly defeating runner up Hayley Warner.

'I had a bag with all my taonga M¿ori, so all my necklaces, rings that are priceless, some of them are hundreds of years old and everything was in there,' Stan told fans. He added the contents of the bag were valuable to him and he was offering a reward for its return
