This Hollywood nepo baby is the child of an Oscar-winning actress and a veteran director.
The 20-year-old university student was recently honored by her look-alike mom, who won four Emmys while starring on a popular 1990s sitcom, on National Daughter’s day.
Mom also had a massive movie career as she worked with Tom Hanks, Mel Gibson and Jack Nicholson.
This mystery woman is pursuing a showbiz career of her own, but in a different direction – music.
She recently released her first album, and it’s one with family ties.

She is Makena lei.
Her mother is As Good As It Gets star Helen Hunt, 61.
And her dad is House of Lies writer and director Matthew Carnahan, 63.
Makena was seen on the cover of her EP, Call It A Home.
Helen and Matthew began dating in 2001 and welcomed their only child together in 2004.
Hunt and Carnahan called an end to their relationship in 2016.
The World on Fire actress shared a rare photo of herself and Makena on September 25 for National Daughter’s day.
‘Just the best National Daughter ever,’ Hunt quipped next to the selfie of the two dressed casually and standing in front of a mirror. ‘AW I LOVE YOU,’ Makena lei wrote in the comments
Makena is the spitting image of the Hacks actress, except she has strawberry blonde hair.
The in-demand Hunt took a break from acting after her daughter was born.
‘I fell in love, I had a daughter,’ Hunt explained to People in 2008. ‘It was hard to find a part that was as interesting as watching her grow up.
‘Why go off and pretend to be someone’s mother, or pretend to be someone’s wife,’ she queried, ‘when I finally had the chance to have that experience in my real life?’

The Northwestern University student recently released her first EP, Call It A Home, featuring a snap of Hunt as a teenager sitting nearly naked in a sink and curling her eyelashes. She told the Northwestern Daily her mom is ‘a very creative person and a big inspiration of mine’
Makena lei is also a member of a group called Wide Mouth. They have scheduled a release for their new EP on December 6 in Chicago
As to why Makena chose the snap of her mom for the album cover, she told her college newspaper the Northwestern Daily, ‘A lot of us getting closer had to do with me working through stuff in my relationship with my dad, so I like that she’s on there.’
She added, ‘She’s also a very creative person and a big inspiration of mine.’
Makena lei, who wrote or co-wrote the songs on her album with Northwestern graduate Jamie Eder.
She sites indie rockers Big Thief and Phoebe Bridgers as inspiration. ‘“A lot of Big Thief is running through my ears all the time,” she said. “I’ll be honest, a lot of Phoebe Bridgers. Why lie, you know?’
