For the latest installment of her Philly-based sitcom Brunson is joining forces with another hit show, It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia.
Sharing a snippet of the interview with its Instagram audience, Good Morning America teased on Instagram, ‘Raise your hand if you’re excited for the “Abbott Elementary” and “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia” crossover episode.’
Quinta said, ‘I’m just so pumped. I met Rob [McElhenney] and we just got along so well. He’s also a star and creator of his show.’
She gushed, ‘It has been the most fantastic experience working with them,’ as Tyler agreed.
‘Not only in the writers’ room, but on set we’ve had a ball with them and I think [the blend] is going to work better than people expect. The shows have to very different tones. That’s putting it lightly,’ she added.
The Temple University graduate credited her home city as she noted, ‘I think it works because of Philadelphia.’
She described lightheartedly, ‘Philadelphia is this richly diverse, dirty, horrible city sometimes and we can all share our dirt with each other and I think that’s what you’re going to get in that episode.’
The TV star then reflected, ‘Sorry, Philly. There’s probably a nicer way to say that.’

And she confirmed that she toured with her blended family including daughters Mari Justin, eight, and Nikki Alex, six, ex-husband Justin Hakuta, 41, and current beau Bill, 46.

‘I brought my kids and their father, who are very, very close and he is the tour manager,’ she confirmed. ‘It was amazing, and Bill would come out for certain dates.’
Hakuta and Wong were married from 2014-2022 and have remained close friends.
‘It was so nice to have my kids, their father who is truly my best friend, and Bill there. It was a really lovely moment,’ she said about her Washington DC stop.
But she made sure to share the disclaimer: ‘It’s not without a lot of work. This amicable situation didn’t just fall into my lap.’
