She notoriously found fame in children’s show Tracy Beaker, playing the role of Sapphire Fox in 2010.

After a long-running stint in BBC show, she moved onto bigger things across the pond in Albert Square.

Some may remember her starring as Lola Pierce’s best friend Alexa Smith in the BBC soap in 2012.

And 12 years on from her soap career, the actress looks completely unrecognisable as she ditched her long curly locks for a short hairdo.

It was recently announced her part in new ITV show Three Little Birds was axed after just one series.

It’s… Saffron Coomber!

Saffron played Danielle Harold’s character Lola’s best pal on the soap and was the reason why she lost custody of her daughter Lexi Pearce at the time.

During her debut, Saffron played the bully in the soap who rekindled a friendship with Lola after they grew up in a care home together.

Before EastEnders, Saffron starred in Tracy Beaker Returns as the older sister for two years.

She then went on to star on Holby City and made a brief appearance in Youngers And Strike.

More recently, Saffron bagged a role in Sir Lenny Henry’s axed drama Three Little Birds.

After it released in October 2023, ITV decided not to commission another series.

At the time of the show’s axing, Lenny told The Guardian: ‘These days, it seems that many black dramas only get one series.

‘There are numerous examples of this – and sadly, Three Little Birds is just one more in that same category.

‘The audience reaction was amazing and I had some really good storylines planned for their characters.
