Melissa McCarthy and husband Ben Falcone celebrate their 19th wedding anniversary: ‘I’m grateful every day’

Melissa McCarthy shared a sweet tribute to her longtime husband Ben Falcone on their 19th wedding anniversary.

To mark the special occasion, the 54-year-old actress shared an adorable photo of her and Falcone, 51, wearing matching outfits in front of a heart balloon sculpture.

The image, which which was taken during a Valentine’s Day photo shoot for The Hollywood Reporter in 2013, showed the pair enthusiastically throwing their arms in the air while rocking coordinating red sweaters with heart pins, white turtlenecks and khakis.

The Life Of The Party star’s spouse also took to Instagram to mark their anniversary.

‘These kids have been married for 19 years! Happy Anniversary, I love you more each year, Mooch! And apparently for one moment frozen in time… we BOTH loved old timey video games,’ he captioned a throwback of them smiling. 

The couple met as comedy students at The Groundlings Theater and School in Hollywood and the longtime couple got married on October 8, 2005. 

During their marriage, McCarthy and Falcone have welcomed two children.

The pair share daughters Vivian, 17, and Georgette, 14.

Melissa’s pregnancy with Vivian was written into the final season of Gilmore Girls in which she played Sookie St. James from 2000 to 2007.

Vivian and Georgette both appeared in the 2016 film The Boss with her eldest daughter playing a younger version of Melissa’s character.

Ben frequently makes cameos in Melissa’s films and TV series with his appearances including: Gilmore Girls, The Nines, Bridesmaids, The Heat, Tammy, Identity Theft, Spy, The Boss, Life Of The Party, Can You Ever Forgive Me?, The Happytime Murders and Superintelligence.

In 2021, she shared her ‘real key(s) to happiness’ include marrying her ‘weird best friend’ and having a ‘plethora of wigs in your home.’

Last year, McCarthy described her husband as ‘constantly loving and kind and funny’ as well as the ‘weirdest human’ she knows during an interview for PEOPLE’s 2023 Beautiful Issue cover. 

“I remember thinking, “Maybe I’ll get married someday, but it won’t be my family.” My family is my mom, my dad and my sister Margie, and nothing will ever feel like that. With Ben, it was the first time that I was like, “Oh, this can grow,”‘ she recalled.
