- Lyon already shares two daughters with ex-partner Mel Waring
- ‘Garry’ will be a key figure in five-Test series vs India this summer
The wife of Aussie cricketer Nathan Lyon has finally confirmed the gender of their baby more than a year after she gave birth – with ‘Garry’ now a father to three girls.
Champion off-spinner Lyon, 36, had two daughters with ex-partner Mel Waring before he and Emma had their first child in September last year, as exclusively revealed by Daily Mail Australia.
Emma Lyon took to Instagram this week, posting two images with her daughter she dubbed ‘Mini me’.
And in one of the photos, the youngster can be seen wearing a T-shirt that reads ‘daddy’s girl.’
There was no indication Emma was expecting prior to her daughter’s birth, with the glamour couple doing an amazing job of keeping the pregnancy under wraps.
She attended the 2023 Ashes tour in the United Kingdom with the rest of the Australian team’s WAGs after marrying Lyon in July 2022 – and appears to have carefully edited photos she posted on her Instagram to avoid any shots that would give away a pregnancy.
Even when spotted by paparazzi, Emma was wearing an overcoat that would have covered any tell-tale signs.
The fiercely private couple also strived to keep their engagement a secret before they were eventually married.

Emma and her bowling beau’s relationship began in scandalous circumstances, as they had been caught kissing in Perth in late 2017 while Nathan was still with Waring.
Waring detailed their heartbreaking split in a blog post in March 2018.
She said on social media her pain was ‘real and deep’ and recounted nights when she would lie in bed with her children and cry.
‘I didn’t ask for this, this wasn’t the way my life was supposed to be. He was my forever, he was my whole world,’ she wrote.
Waring has since found love with a new man, but has not revealed his identity.
Lyon and Emma started dating in 2017 and bought their Sydney home together in 2020.
Rumours started to swirl that their engagement was on in 2022.
That was later confirmed when Emma was spotted with a hefty ring on her wedding finger at the fourth Test against India at the Gabba, while she also posted about her search for a wedding dress on Instagram.
Lyon will be a key figure for Australia when they host India across a five-Test series this summer.
Perth will host the first Test from November 22.
