Netflix fans go wild over speculation of a sequel for one of the best rom-com series ever made

It’s the Netflix rom-com series everyone is talking about.

And now fans are going wild over a potential second season of Nobody Wants This after the cliffhanger final episode left viewers wanting more.

While no announcement has been made about the a new season for the popular 10-part series starring Adam Brody and Kirsten Bell, rumours are running rife.

Fans say another season of the show is a no brainer after Brody and Bell’s characters, Rabbi Noah and Joanne, kiss following a very brief break-up.

‘Well there better be a season 2, cos they left us with a cliffhanger and a real life fictional Disney Prince,’ one fan said.

‘Such a great series, can’t wait for season 2,’ another excited fan chimed in, while another offered a similar: ‘OMG yes.’

The speculation comes after Harper’s Bazaar Australia posted about the show’s strong Netflix ranking on Instagram.

‘It’s safe to assume that it is more than likely to be renewed just by looking at Netflix’s rankings — the series has stayed within the Top 5 charts since it was released on September 26,’ the publication wrote.

‘It is safe to assume that we will find out if Nobody Wants This is returning in coming weeks, or at the latest, by the end of the year.’

Nobody Wants This debuted at number one on Luminate’s weekly ranking of original streaming viewership.

The series tied for the top spot with Netflix true-crime drama Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story, with an impressive 1.7 billion minutes streamed in the US.

Appearing on the US Today show, series creator Erin Foster said that she was hopeful of a season 2 as there was still more ground to cover with the characters.

‘There’s so much more story to tell,’ Erin said.

‘You just get to “I love you” right at the end of the season? That’s a slow trajectory.’

Erin added more weight to  another season of the popular series during an interview with IndieWire prior to the season one premiere.

‘We’re getting a really positive response,’ she said.

‘I think the conversations have definitely started to happen about a potential season 2. The story in season 1 unfolds really slowly.

‘And so I think if there is a season 2 I would want to just kind of pick up where we leave off and continue to take it slow, because I don’t want us to get too far ahead of ourselves.

‘I mean, I want my show to be on the air as long as possible!’
