The Block star Courtney McInnes breaks down in tears over Domain challenge results while listening to sad music in the car

The Block contestant Courtney McInnes wallowed on Thursday night as she broke down in tears over coming ‘second last’ during the Domain Listing challenge.

The furniture designer, 32, was seen sobbing while listening to Chasing Cars by Snow Patrol as she went for a drive without partner Grant Freeman.

Landing second last on the leader board for the Domain Listing and Buyer’s Jury, Courtney cried to producers that her results were ‘getting worse’, despite coming in second during room reveals on Sunday and winning $10,000 for her hallway.

‘The competition, yes you’re renovating a home, but the biggest thing is mentally you’re drained. You don’t feel like your usual self. You really don’t,’ she said.

After having a cry and destressing in the car with some sad music, Courtney called her parents for some support.

‘It makes me feel stupid like I can’t do my job. I’m in design and…’ Courtney told her mother and father as she broke down once more.

‘No, don’t feel that way. Don’t feel that way. You’re good at what you do,’ her father said.

‘I just feel like we’re not getting that much recognition and now I’m doubting myself. Is anyone going to buy our house? I don’t know,’ she added.

Courtney and Grant, 30, came second last during the Domain Listings and Buyers Jury Challenge on Wednesday night when their House 2 failed to impress 100 potential buyers.

Meanwhile, friends Ricky Recard and Haydn Wise of House 3 took out the win and its hefty $50,000 cash prize.

It comes after tensions built between Grant and builder Jack from House 1 on Monday night.

Grant attempted to steal one of the Venetian plasterers working for Maddy and Charlotte Harry, but their builder Jack took exception to the underhanded tactic.

The carpenter put his foot down and harshly refused to lend trades to House 2 after Grant and partner Courtney denied the girls help the day before.

Sisters Maddy, 24, and Charlotte, 22, found themselves a plasterer short the day before when one of their tradies didn’t have the correct insurance papers.

Grant and Courtney refused to help the sisters who worked right next door to them, but foreman Dan managed to save the day by flying in a plasterer he knew.

Courtney took the opportunity to slyly ask the plasterer to come work for her and Grant instead, going behind Maddy and Charlotte’s backs to get a quote from him.
