Jason Whitlock claims new Seattle Kraken assistant Jessica Campbell is a ‘disaster waiting to happen’ because players will be trying to ‘get in her pants’ in a disgusting tirade about the NHL’s first ever female coach.
Campbell made history earlier this week when she became the first woman to land a full-time coaching role in the NHL, as well as one of the first to do so across American sports as a whole.
Yet after she took her place on Seattle’s bench Tuesday night, Whitlock has unleashed a vile sexist rant towards the 32-year-old, alleging that she will be the subject of sexual advances from Kraken players.
The controversial sports commentator said about Campbell on his ‘Fearless’ podcast: ‘This woman’s 32, she’s in the age range of the NHL players, she’s attractive… I’m just keeping it real because that’s what we do on this show.

‘Man, I would hate to be the HR department for Seattle. There’s going to be some issues coming down the pike here.
‘A bunch of athletes, attractive coach they’ve got to work closely with, I just can’t see this not ending poorly.
‘This whole thing, “Oh they just hired the best coach.” A 32-year-old woman was the best candidate to be an assistant coach in the National Hockey League? Miss me with that.’
Whitlock then added: ‘I think it’s going to lead to a lot of mischief, because there won’t be the real respect for this woman and then it’ll be about, “I wonder if I can get in her pants.”‘
Kraken players have so far reacted positively to the news of Campbell’s appointment as assistant coach, with defenseman Vince Dunn heaping praise on her for making history in the NHL this week.
‘Something that we’ve all been proud to be a part of,’ Dunn said. ‘Certainly, making a statement around the world for all women – so a special moment for her tonight.’

However, Whitlock continued his insulting assessment of Campbell by implying that she could make sexual approaches of her own in the Kraken locker room.
‘Whatever woman is there during training camp, let’s say if in real life she’s a six. During training camp she’s a eight-and-a-half, damn near a nine,’ he said.
‘That woman, in that environment, will be under attack. And she’s a woman, she may be executing a few of her own attacks.
‘That’s why we need separate spaces and separate environments.’
