Dodgers’ bizarre ‘crotch bump’ celebration divides opinion in MLB playoff game

While Dodgers star Kike Hernandez was riled up to put his team on the board in the MLB playoffs, fans were divided by his bizarre celebration.

During Friday’s NLDS Game 5 win over the San Diego Padres, Hernandez had an interesting way of celebrating after recording a homerun to go up 1-0.

While running back to the dugout after the homer, Hernandez appeared to thrust teammate Gavin Lux’s cup. The viral clip would split the fanbase as they spoke out on social media.

‘Ayooo this kike Hernandez celebration after hitting a homerun is nasty work,’ one user wrote.

‘This is next level team chemistry right here,’ a second quipped.

A third added: ‘this is the most diabolical victory cheer ive seen omg?’ Meanwhile, a fourth said: ‘LMAO I wanted so badly to convince myself I saw otherwise.’

‘This is a prime example of next level teamwork right here,’ a fifth said.

‘Bro I couldn’t believe my eyes on the broadcast last night, this is next level,’ a sixth user chimed in.

Another user responded with a photo of Hernandez appearing to grab his teammate’s crotch while running – suggesting that these are his usual antics.

Nonetheless, the Dodgers kept and piled on their lead to win 2-0 in front of their home fans.

Los Angeles will host game one of the NLCS against the New York Mets on Sunday night.
