Conor McGregor’s fiancee Dee Devlin steps in after UFC star dances closely with a woman at a Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship after-party in Marbella

  • The Irishman is a legend of the sport, winning belts in two different weights
  • Last night he revealed his next fight would be against Dan Hooker on February 1
  • But he also got in hot water for dancing with another woman and pulling her hair

Conor McGregor’s fiancee was forced to step in to stop the UFC star dancing with another woman at a Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship after-party in Marbella.

The Irishman is one of the sport’s most famous names after becoming the first to hold belts in two different weight classes, and attracting millions of new fans to MMA with his entertaining fighting style and lively post-event interviews.

He last entered the Octagon in July 2021, losing to Dustin Poirier in his trilogy bout at UFC 264 and suffering a broken leg.

Since then, speculation has been rife as to who the 36-year-old will be fighting next and in Marbella on Saturday, McGregor made the astonishing revelation that his comeback would be against Dan Hooker on February 1.

But that’s not the only thing The Notorious got up to last night, with the UFC icon seen getting up close and personal with a woman on a crowded dance floor at an after-party, while pulling her hair in front of stunned onlookers.

One of whom was his long-time fiancee Dee Devlin who swiftly intervened to prevent McGregor getting himself into further trouble.

The fighter had been tugging the locks of the woman, who was dancing with a UFC-style belt slung over her shoulder, before dancing suggestively next to her while holding a canned beverage and his phone.

Once Devlin inserts herself into the space between the cavorting pair, McGregor steps back and laughs before tapping his fiancee on the back.

Clearly not over his appetite for hair-tousling, the UFC legend yanks his partner’s locks before saying a few words and flashing a beaming grin.

The couple have been with one another since 2008 and have four children together.  They got engaged in 2020.

McGregor’s antics come after he revealed he would be taking on Hooker, from New Zealand, in a much-anticipated comeback bout on February 1 in Saudi Arabia.

The chosen opponent, from New Zealand, is currently fifth in the UFC Lightweight rankings with Russia’s Islam Makhachev the champion.

Hooker has won 24 fights and lost 12 in his career in the Octagon most recently beating Polish star Mateusz Gamrot in a statement victory in August. The win extended his streak to three fights.

McGregor, 36, originally targeted a date in December for his first showdown back but UFC CEO Dana White soon quashed these rumours and confirmed the Irishman will not fight until early 2025.

Last month, ahead of Anthony Joshua’s shock defeat at the hands of Daniel Dubois in the boxing ring, McGregor said: ‘It will be 2025. We will see. My opponent that I had scheduled… it is what it is. I take it on board and rock on.

‘My job is to go to the gym and be in shape. Whenever it is and wherever it is. I will be 100 per cent ready. I must get two fights in 2025. It’s the promised land.

‘Who knows (who the next opponent will be). It does not matter. Whoever, let’s see. I like it to be Chandler. I wish him well and see where it goes.’
