A woman revealed the hair-raising text message a stranger sent her after snagging her cell phone number from her luggage tag.

The traveler named Kirsten posted about her experience while waiting at the airport during a layover on TikTok.

‘I’m at the airport and the creepiest thing just happened to me. I’m sitting there on my layover and I get this text,’ Kirsten said.

She put the message on the screen and read it for her viewers – slamming the strangers unsettling message.

‘Hi Kristen, which, that’s not even my name,’ she said. ‘My name is Nate. I saw you and thought you were so beautiful so I had to find a way to talk to you.

Kirsten said she received ‘the creepiest text’ from a stranger who got her number from her luggage tag

‘I saw your number on your luggage tag and decided to text you. I promise this isn’t as weird as it seems! Give a guy a chance?’

Kirsten went on to criticize the man for not having to courtesy to approach her first but instead sent her a creepy message that left her fearing for her safety.

‘Give a guy a chance? First of all, he spelled my name wrong. Second of all, if he wanted to talk to me so badly, why didn’t he come up and talk to me like a normal human being?’ she said.

‘This just feels like such an invasion of privacy. I have no idea who this guy is. I didn’t notice a guy looking at me or anything.

‘I’m extra weirded out because I have my address on my luggage tag so he could potentially know where I live now.’

She ended the video warning others to be cautious with the information they put on luggage tags.

‘PSA to everyone out there: Turn your luggage tag inside out so that your personal information isn’t visible. And PSA to all creepers: do better,’ Kirsten said.

Commenters agreed that the message was weird and said Kirsten was valid for being creeped out.

‘This is something that would never even cross my mind!!! That’s so scary,’ one person said.

‘My jaw literally dropped. I’m horrified,’ said another. ‘I am so sorry, this is so violating,’ a third person said.

‘Ladies these men are desperate. Be careful out there,’ a fourth person said.

Others criticized the man for getting close enough to take down her cell phone but not just introduce himself.

‘If he’s close enough to see the tag just say hello! Sheesh,’ said one person.

‘Yep totally creepy. He could’ve shot his shot right then and got rejected at the moment but he wanted to be a creeper,’ said another.
