Jamie Foxx looked every inch the proud papa as he celebrated his daughter Anelise’s 16th birthday on Saturday night.

The actor, 56, took his daughter Anelise, who turned 16 on Wednesday, October 9,  to the famed Mr. Chow restaurant in Beverly Hills for a belated birthday dinner.

‘Usually, when you do a stand-up special, you go out for a year and work every nook and cranny, then you tape it. You don’t just show up in Atlanta and turn the camera on,’ he explained.

King, who has seen the set, told him, ‘I’d never seen a show where the audience is laughing and crying at the same time,’ adding, ‘Only you could’ve done that.’

‘It’s a personal journey,’ responded the funny man, ‘And I hope I never have to … I am never going to go through this again. My next jokes will start out, ‘Knock, knock! I’ll do an hour and a half of ‘Knock, knock’ jokes,’ he told his laughing crew backstage after the show.

The star, who had been pouring glasses of champagne to celebrate the end of the run raised a glass saying, ‘Let’s sit back, watch it, and build toward a newer, brighter and healthier future.’
