The father-of-five, who has been married to his third wife, actress Calista Flockhart, for 14 years, has previously admitted that he has always put his career first.

He said: ‘I’ve been out of town for most of my life – I’d probably be a better parent if I had a less successful career.’

It comes as Harrison Ford, 82, and his wife Calista Flockhart, 59, exuded wedded bliss at the season two premiere of his show Shrinking.

The Apple TV+ sitcom is led by Forgetting Sarah Marshall star Jason Segel, playing a newly widowed therapist attempting to cope with his loss.

One of the main supporting players is Harrison, who plays an older therapist suffering from Parkinson’s disease.

Season two is slated to air its first two episodes on the streaming platform on October 16 – preceded by a glamorous West Hollywood premiere this Tuesday.

Held at the Pacific Design Center on Melrose Avenue, the star-studded event saw Harrison and Calista cuddling up to one another for the cameras.

The Star Wars icon was classically elegant in a black suit, teamed with a charcoal shirt he wore without a tie in a nod to California chic.

When asked why he continues to work, the actor said: ‘I get out of it essential human contact. I get to imagine with people that have great skill and experience. It’s fun to work with these people’

Meanwhile Calista, who recently played Jacqueline Kennedy’s sister Lee Radziwill on the Ryan Murphy series Feud: Capote Vs. The Swans, was herself the image of style.

She draped her willowy frame in a slinky black dress, which was pleated and cinched in to emphasize her enviably trim waistline.

Wearing her brown hair down, the The Birdcage actress accentuated her unmistakable features with makeup for her latest night on the town.

After standing for the photographers with his wife, Harrison could also be spotted mugging for the cameras with his co-star Jason.

Jason opted for a midnight blue suit with a complementary blue and white pocket square, teamed with a white shirt that had its top button undone.

In one charming group shot, Harrison was seen sandwiched between Jason and their co-star Jessica Williams, who plays another one of the therapists on Shrinking.

Veteran comic actress Christa Miller, whom fans will recognize from Scrubs and The Drew Cary Show, made her presence felt at the premiere as well.
