Jets fans fume at kicker Greg Zuerlein after two costly misses in defeat by the Bills

Jets fans buried kicker Greg Zuerlein on social media after missing two crucial field goal opportunities against the Bills on Monday night.

In a tightly contested showdown at MetLife, Zuerlein had not one, but two chances to break a 20-20 deadlock.

Late in the third quarter, the kicker hit the post in a 32-yard attempt. He would get another chance from 43 yards early in the fourth but smashed the woodwork again – leaving fans infuriated as the Bills secured a 23-20 win.

‘I will NEVER forgive Greg Zuerlein for tonights performance,’ one fan wrote.

‘We would be 4-2 if Greg Zuerlein was a better kicker,’ a second added.

‘First game under a new regime was not terrible, you can’t coach or uncoach those penalties man it’s sloppy as f***,’ a third lamented.

‘The NYJ have to clean it the f*** up and tell Zuerlein to tighten the f*** up, that’s TWO GAMES that could’ve been decided by his boot man.’

A fourth added that ‘Greg Zuerlein should be cut tonight,’ while a fifth added: ‘What about Greg Zuerlein being an absolute bum?’

Zuerlein made two of his four kicks for eight points before folding when his boot mattered most. The stat has moved him to 6-8 this season.

In a 10-9 loss to the Broncos in September, Zuerlein was torched for missing a 50-yarder in a 3-4 performance.

They will close out the month on the 31st when they host the Texans at MetLife Stadium.
