Pat Cummins shows off his dad bod in budgie smugglers as he enjoys a day at the beach with pregnant wife Becky and their son Albie

Aussie cricket superstar Pat Cummins has cut a relaxed figure as he and his expecting wife Becky enjoyed a day at one of Sydney’s most exclusive beaches with their son Albie.

The Test skipper is bracing for a heavy workload this summer as he prepares to face Pakistan and India in a pair of campaigns that will run from November 4 to early January – so it’s no wonder he’s squeezing in as much quality family time as he can.

Cummins, Becky and their boy were snapped at Bronte Beach in Sydney’s east this week, just a short trip from the stunning $9.5million home they bought in the suburb in March 2021.

The 31-year-old looked to be in great shape as he went for a swim in a pair of budgie smugglers while Becky looked after Albie – who recently turned three – as he enjoyed an ice cream on the sand.

Pat gave Albie a ride on his shoulders as they walked near the sand, with his wife sporting a large baby bump in a blue dress.

Becky and Pat first revealed they are expecting their second child back in August, delivering the news on Instagram by writing: ‘Incredibly happy to finally share our [baby emoji] news!

‘We are so exited to meet you, baby, and to add a little more craziness to our lives.’

The post was accompanied by photos of Becky showing off her baby bump with Albie, who she is seen cradling while he places a hand on her belly in one image.

Cummins’ teammate Mitch Marsh was one of the first to congratulate the couple on the heartwarming announcement, as were cricket star Travis Head’s wife Jessica, Aaron Finch’s wife Amy, Usman Khawaja’s wife Rachel and Becky’s sister Kara.

Pat and Becky were also seen soaking in the sun at Bronte in September, when she was proudly putting her bump on display in a grey bikini.

In August Becky had a day out with Albie in Sydney’s east as she showed off her baby bump in a singlet while they walked in park after hiding it under a jumper on what was an unseasonably warm day.

She also posted a shot to Instagram showing her perspective as she looked down at her bump with Albie in tow, accompanied by the caption, ‘I love this view.’

She also uploaded an image of Albie learning the alphabet at their home in Sydney’s east, along with the words, ‘Thank you for all the kind messages. I’m getting through them, they all mean so much.’

When Albie was born in October 2021, Pat and Becky released a heartfelt video capturing their journey to becoming first-time parents.

The video started with Becky telling a thrilled Pat she was pregnant, before documenting her growing baby bump, scans, and eventual arrival at the hospital to give birth.

In an exclusive interview with Daily Mail Australia on Monday, Cummins opened up about the challenges his wife faces when he’s away for long periods.

The Test skipper told Daily Mail Australia that Becky revealed some ‘really deep thoughts on motherhood’ to him for his upcoming book

He interviewed Becky for his upcoming book Tested, which details in-depth conversations he’s had with leaders and high achievers in a range of fields.

‘She had some really deep thoughts about motherhood and how she copes when I’m away on tour,’ he said.

‘It isn’t easy at times, especially now we have a baby on the way.

‘I tried to draw comparisons from the stories I was told to my life as a cricketer.’

Asked about which form of the game he enjoys most after leading Australia to a stunning one-dayer World Cup win over India and Test series victory over Pakistan, the skipper was in no doubt the longest form of the game remains king.

‘I just love it, especially playing at home,’ he said. ‘India is always a huge series, they will have a billion fans watching closely.

‘I’m feeling fit and fresh, Test cricket is the pinnacle for me, bring it on.’
