Untrained pensioner amputated willing patients’ penises and testicles in his living room as they sat on his couch… but refuses to reveal what he did with the body parts

An OAP with no medical training has been sentenced in court for carrying out penis amputations in his living room.

The 75-year-old man, who is not being named in line with German privacy laws, has been slapped with an almost four-year-long sentence after confessing to performing gruesome amputations on willing ‘patients’.

The trained lathe operator happily removed penises, toes and even testicles from patients sitting on a simple plastic mat placed atop his couch.

For years, he allegedly catered to a niche clientele that found him through shady internet forums, and charged between €500 and €2,200 per procedure.

The Erfurt Regional Court in the eastern state of Thuringia found the man guilty of seven counts of grievous bodily harm and an additional count of bodily harm.

Though the man’s defense argued for acquittal, Judge Udo Tietjen said that the sentence serves a bigger purpose.

‘What we definitely want to achieve with this sentence is to prevent any copycats,’ he said.

The court sessions, which were largely closed to the public, included testimonies from individuals who had voluntarily sought out the defendant for these unauthorised procedures.

Judge Tietjen described the trial as both ‘extraordinary’ and ‘shameful,’ referring to the discomfort and difficulty experienced by witnesses as they recounted what had happened to them.

While many admitted to seeking relief from chronic genital pain or even the initial steps of a sex reassignment process, few showed any desire to see the defendant severely punished.

The man confessed to the operations, but claimed his actions were not financially motivated.

He said that he was ‘inspired’ by internet forums dedicated to castration and that his goal was to ‘help’ those who approached him.

However, the court expressed skepticism regarding his claims, suggesting that money might have played a more significant role than he admitted.

The horror continued as the court heard how the defendant would use a syringe to numb the areas before slicing through flesh, all while the victim lay on his living room couch.

As for the whereabouts of the amputated body parts this remains a mystery, as the man failed to clarify what he did with them.

The prosecution pushed for a more severe sentence of six years and six months, reflecting the severity and recklessness of his actions and arguing that in at least one instance, the procedure nearly cost a patient their life.

The court ultimately settled on three years and ten months, although the judgment has not yet been finalised.
