Netflix’s programming snafu has left some fans bewildered after the streamer used social media to announce that Detroiters was dropping on October 15.

Netflix has been slammed after a promised cult TV hit failed to drop on time. American comedy Detroiters was advertised to debut on October 15, but the streaming giant removed it from the schedule without any explanation

In September, Netflix announced in a tweet that the show would land on the streamer in October.

‘This is an official Cramblin Duvet Advertising announcement Detroiters Seasons 1 & 2 are coming to Netflix on October 15!’ the Netflix tweet said.

When the show failed to show up on the steaming service, fans were left fuming.

‘The show was supposed to debut on Netflix today,’ said a Reddit user on Wednesday.

‘It never showed up, and Netflix has deleted their posts on social media that promoted the show,’ they continued.

Another Reddit user claimed that the streamer was ‘gaslighting’ fans.

‘I direct messaged with a Netflix customer service rep yesterday and they tried gaslighting that Netflix never announced it would be coming to their platform in the US on October 15.’

They continued: ‘They tried saying the announcement & Tweet I saw was for countries [outside] of the US.’

Fans of the show also took to Twitter to complain.

‘I don’t really tweet ever but am now [here] to say that Netflix and Netflix Australia are [a joke] and are awful for not streaming Detroiters like they said they were going to?’ tweeted one angry user.
