  • Paul said Iron Mike should avoid ‘charging at him’ during their fight

Jake Paul has released a video of himself dropping a sparring partner ahead of his highly-anticipated fight against Mike Tyson on November 15 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

The clip shows Paul, who is moving up from cruiserweight to heavyweight for the first time in his boxing career, flooring a much larger opponent with a powerful right hand.

As he prepares for this blockbuster fight, the YouTuber-turned-boxer is focusing on outmanoeuvring the 58-year-old Tyson, who still possesses devastating knockout power.

However, Paul is confident he has what it takes to beat Iron Mike and could be heard threatening the former champion after dropping his sparring partner – shouting: ‘Don’t charge at me, Tyson.’

The fight between Tyson and Paul was due to take place in July, but just two months after the bout was announced, the two men were forced to postpone proceedings.

Tyson suffered a medical scare on a aeroplane in May which derailed the showdown in Texas. However, a new date of November 15 was later agreed.

But, fans remained concerned about Tyson’s health given he will be 58 when the fight takes place at the AT&T Stadium – the home of the Dallas Cowboys.

They were hoping the Texas Licensing Regulators would monitor Tyson closely before the bout takes place next month.

However, according to World Boxing News, the Texas Licensing Regulators will not only assess Tyson until the day before the fight.

Therefore, there is a high risk that the bout could be cancelled just 24 hours before Iron Mike is set to step back into the ring.

The result of the assessment could see the fight be downgraded from a professional one to an exhibition or even cancelled.

However, Tyson is confident the bout will go ahead as planned and insists he is ready to dismantle Paul despite the age gap.

Tyson earned his reputation as one of the most fearsome punchers the sport of boxing has ever known, racking up 24 first-round knockouts in a professional career that spanned from 1985 until his initial retirement in 2005.

After all, Paul wasn’t even born during Tyson’s legendary initial world title run and was just eight years old when Iron Mike first hung up his gloves following defeat to Irish journeyman Kevin McBride in 2005.
