Rosanti and Fina moved to Australia two years ago… now their families have been left devastated after the unimaginable happened

Two women who died in a fatal head-on collision have been identified as Indonesian nationals who had only been living in Australia for a couple of years.

Rosanti and Fina were killed when the Honda Accord they were travelling in hit a Jeep Cherokee on Indian Ocean Drive in Neergabby, north of Perth, at 5pm on Saturday.

The women, aged 23 and 31, both suffered critical injuries and died at the scene.

All five occupants of the Jeep survived with varying levels of non-life-threatening injuries and were treated by St John WA paramedics.

Rosanti’s roommate shared her distress on social media following the tragic crash.

‘Rosanti and I lived together in a shared house in Lancelin with two other friends, and we worked at a carrot farm West Hills with Fina as well,’ she wrote.

Fina and Rosanti’s friend, Rizki Thanan, has since launched a GoFundMe for the pair to raise funds to send their remains back to their families in Indonesia.

‘I am raising funds to ask friends for help with the costs of repatriating the corpse to Indonesia,’ she wrote.

Others who knew the women also flooded onto social media to share their heartache over the deaths.

‘Rest in love Santi,’ one woman wrote.

‘Tragically taken from this world now resting in peace,’ a second said.

Another person who claimed to have known the women said they had been living in Australia for two years and their deaths had been ‘sad news’ back in Indonesia.

Police are still investigating the crash and have asked any witnesses with dashcam or CCTV footage to contact Crime Stoppers.
